O.A.R. (....of a revolution.) blends music's purest elements of rock, reggae and folk creating a sound and feeling so original, it can only be called "Island-Vibe Roots Rock." The idea behind O.A.R. is to ensure that each person who experiences the music, recorded or especially live, comes away with an unforgettable memory. The band formed in Rockville, Maryland in 1997 and released three studio albums and a live double-disc set on their independent label, Everfine Records.

In May 2003, O.A.R. made its major label debut with the Lava Records/Everfine Records release, In Between Now and Then, with hit singles "Hey Girl" and "Right On Time." The band is looking forward to releasing their second live album during the Summer of 2004.

O.A.R. consists of singer/rhythm guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, saxophonist Jerry DePizzo, bassist Benj Gershman, and drummer Chris Culos.
